Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who helped with the Fun Run! Uberthons provided all the electronic timing, music, speaker system and flags which made this the most exciting Fun Run yet! Many parents helped with setup, cheering the students on, and cleanup especially! The Uberthons crew was impressed with how quickly the cleanup went! The teachers and staff joined right in with the kids and showed support for the school. The students ran hard and did their best. It really couldn't have gone any better.
There will be an assembly on Monday, October 14th at 8am to celebrate the Fun Run, find out how much money we raised, and give out the prizes! Here is a sneak peak of some of the pictures!

Uberthons is also helping us raise more money for our school. The 2013 Turkeython is at Washington Square Mall at 8am on Thanksgiving morning. When people you know enter the words Sherwood Charter in the Who Referred You box, the Oregon Turkeython will donate back to your school $5.00. The Fun Run is in one week! This is your big chance to support your school by bringing in donations for the Fun Run. Remember to ask your friends and family and find out if your parents' companies will match your donation! Our school goal is $10,000 which would be each student bringing in $50. We can do this! If we reach our goal, the whole school will get an ice cream party and free dress day.
Here are some other prizes:
3/$50 gift cards, with 3 winners to be drawn from the participants that reached the $50 goal. (One $50 gift card per winner)
5/$10 gift cards, with 5 winners to be drawn from all participants that returned their fun run donation envelopes, including the kids that did not win in the $50 drawing. (One $10 gift card per winner)
The class/grade that brings in the most money will win a pool party at the YMCA! (Middle school will be determined by grade)
Thanks for all of your help! Remember, the donation envelopes and money are due Tuesday, October 8th.
The Fun Run will be taking place on Thursday October 10th. We need a few more volunteers. Please look at the sign up sheet and fill in if you are able to help. If you already said you would help, but don't see your name, please add it! Also, of course the parents and siblings are welcome to come and cheer on the students during the Fun Run!
