Teacher Liaison Report: Mrs. Stuckey reminded the PAC members the importance of completing the school survey on preferences of returning to in-person hybrid school.  It needs to be completed by Sunday, January 17th.

Treasurer Report:  Balance summary made by Justin Seamans:

Account total: $14,088.94

Bottle account total: $209.60

Paypal account total: $73.30

Update on Zelle: program has many technical and complicated parts to it, and even though it is possible, it may not be worth it for Sherwood Charter School PAC to utilize.

Treasurer Report Continue:

Jen Crosby suggested to move forward with utilizing Square Pay.  She is familiar with the program and noted how user friendly it is.  The percentage fees seem to be very reasonable and this will be confirmed.  It was noted the credit card did not need to be present to make a transaction, although fees may be different for this transaction.  Square purchase was stated as $10, although this will need to be confirmed.  Roxie will organize the purchase of Square for PAC to have.

Old Business

Sticker Contest: Sticker contest community event has been completed.  Stickers were in student supply pick-up bags on January 14th.  Event came in under budget and was very affordable and larger stickers were purchased.  Thanks Roxie!

New Business

School Board Appreciation Gift: Due to covid, dinner was provided in the form of Panera Bread Gift Cards.  Because of a promotion at Panera Bread, each board member was able to receive two $10 gift cards.  Event was still able to come in at budget.

Book Fair Update: Jen communicated with Scholastic and we are moving forward with an Online Book fair at this time.  Scholastics really wanted an in-person book fair.  We will keep this in mind and if covid safety is possible, we may move forward with this.  Book fair is March 8th-March 12th

Read-a-thon Update: Shannon and Jen have been communicating about upcoming event.  Pledge Star reached out and wanted to know if we would still be utilizing its program.  At this time, discussions were made about if the program was needed or if all could be done “in-house” or on google classroom.   Not one student used “Pledge-Star” to track hours last year.  Because costs of the library are very low due to Covid, the board agreed to have monies donated to the OneFund account.  Discussion about how to give families the credit toward their account was made.  It was also discussed for the link to the OneFund to be used instead of Pledge-Star.  Shannon wanted the event to be more of a fun community event and encourage reading.  The event is lined with Dr. Seuss’s birthday, March 3rd read-in day and the book fair.  Information of discussion will be given to Shannon and decisions will be made.

Dinners Out: Tara will post dates for two upcoming dinners out.  Communication with MOD
Pizza (Jan. 28th) and Red Robin (Feb. 25)

See’s Candy: See’s Candy is now offering online fundraising due to Covid.  More information is needed on costs and shipping.

Bingo Community Event: Chairperson is no longer with the school.  Suggestions made were for Bingo Card pick-up at supply pick-up and to do a ZOOM bingo.  This way families and siblings can participate.  Logistics still need to be decided on how to breakdown into groups, car-line numbers were suggested.  Date to be determined, but the first week of April is the goal.  Need a survey on how many families would participate and volunteers needed.

Other Updates:

Accounting People: Company needs to update our contact information and Justin is to reconcile an outstanding bill.

Treasurer Position:  Justin still needs to be trained in Quickbooks and Brandon needs to be trained for next year's position.

Meeting Adjourned at 7:56 pm
