Korrin called meeting to order at 6:37pm. 

Approval of minutes from 2/02/23: Delayed until April meeting.

STAFF UPDATES

TREASURER REPORT

Current accounts --
    Paypal: $1,313.74
    BottleDrop: $615.40
    Chase: $15,971.44

Parent question: What is money used for?
Answer: Community events like dances & picnics. $10,000 always in bank account on reserve for emergencies.
Question: Is there a goal to raise money for a school building?
Answer: A future school building is in the jurisdiction of the SCS School Board. PAC considers expenditures like a playground, items needed within the school, library funding.

OLD BUSINESS/UPDATES

Teacher luncheon on Feb 2:  3rd grade hosted; went very well. Catered by Yumm Cafe. Staff meeting/lunch for March canceled by Ms. Raboli.

Sock Hop Family Dance: A great success. People talking about having a 50s outfit for next year.

DNO Panda Express in February: Earned $48. Received the Chipotle check from previous DNO.

Read-a-thon: As of 2/28/23, $907 raised; 1st grade in the lead, 5th grade coming in second.

Spring auction class baskets: All have been put together.

School board meeting (Roxie update): No breaking news. Meeting notes available online.

NEW BUSINESS/ANNOUNCEMENTS

Book fair March 13-16: No volunteers have signed up; need people for setup, running the fair 3:15-4pm. May delay bottle drop until April, due to Earth Day Give in April.

Teacher appreciation (May 1-5): $1500 allocated from PAC budget for this event. Kalli Keddle is signed up as coordinator. Korrin will follow up with Kalli to see if she still plans to coordinate, & invite her to the next PAC general meeting. PAC covers appreciation lunch this week.

Feedback from Nora: Teachers appreciate Amazon/Target/etc gift cards. Nora will forward to teachers communication PAC puts together re: teacher appreciation (request to update Amazon wish lists, etc).

Teacher/staff luncheon (Apr 7): propose combining K, 1st, 2nd grades to provide lunch. Kimberly (if no other 1st grade coordinator steps up) will work with 2nd grade coordinator. Korrin will follow up with 2nd grade volunteer coordinator.

DNO status: All are scheduled: Papa Murphy’s in April; Panera in May; Handels in June.

Read-a-thon: Feb 23 - March 9. 

See’s Candy fundraiser (2/27-3/23): Tamara coordinating.

Korrin called meeting to order at 7:35pm. 

Approval of minutes from 2.02.23: Delay until March.

Another community event this year?
Picnic planned for year-end.
Winter event was canceled.
Roxie needs to look at budget. Do not yet have receipts from Sock Hop or Winter event that was canceled.
Potential movie night costs: licensing movie (Sing, Sing 2?), popcorn, chips. Roxie will look into cost of licensing. Maybe include snowball fight at movie night.

PAC board for 2023-2024?
Likely that all positions will be open. So far, no one stepping up to take open positions – but needs have not been promoted to the parents. Discuss at April board meeting. Maybe have a social event to introduce parents to PAC?

Tamara called meeting to order at 7:04pm.

Approval of minutes from 11/17/22: Delayed until March meeting.

 

Old Business updates – 

See’s Candy: Tamara signed up SCS. Feb 27-March 23. Have QR code at book fair for parents to place See’s Candy orders.

Personal updates –

Tamara: 2/27 ankle surgery. 4 weeks off foot.
  Korrin will lead next PAC board meeting & monitor PAC email week of Tamara’s surgery.
  Kimberly will support March 3 teacher luncheon (2nd grade).

 Kimberly: foot surgery 3/24; missing April PAC general meeting. Ashley will take minutes.

Tamara called meeting to order at 6:30pm. 

Approval of minutes from 1/05/23: Motion to approve by Kimberly Felton. Seconded by Dan Standke. Minutes approved.

 

Ms. Raboli absent; no update.

Updates from Mrs. Stuckey: No teacher updates. Teaching kids dances for the sock hop.

Old Business updates – 

Teacher luncheon on Jan 6:  4th grade hosted; went very well. Catered by Panera. 3rd grade hosting on 2/3/22. 

Sock Hop Family Dance update: Jennifer Crosby & Shannon Burns organizing. French fries & soda fountain. Need volunteers for diner, setup, cleanup. Collecting kids’ socks for Sherwood Share Closet.

DNO Chipotle in Jan: earned $83; waiting for check.

Wilson Ortho candy buy-back: check arrived ($157)

Board appreciation (January): gift from PAC was a wooden serving board in the shape of Oregon.

 

New Business/Announcements –

PAC website update: New website up!

Read-a-thon: Feb 23 - March 9. Working on a new charting system.

Dr. Suess Read Across America: March 2

Spring auction class baskets: PAC supports class baskets. Baskets will be in the classrooms so kids see them and get excited about them. Office will circulate the baskets through the classrooms.

Teacher luncheon 2/3/23: 3rd grade sponsoring. Catered by Café Yumm.

Family dance: February 16.
