Board Meeting Minutes - March 6, 2024

Board members in attendance: Hadar Ferris (chair), Jen Kallam (co-chair), Korrin Fyall (co-secretary), Roxie Anderson (co-treasurer)

Hadar called the meeting to order at 8:24pm.  

Approval of minutes from 1/10/24 and 2/7/24: Hadar motioned to approve minutes. Jen seconded. Minutes approved. 

NEW BUSINESS –  

Mailbox: Hadar renewed the PAC mailbox for another year. Cost $240. Needed to change name, but Hadar was unable to meet with manager at time of renewal. Will continue to try and get Jen’s name off the mailbox. 

Next Board Meeting: This was discussed in the general meeting, Heather to attend the March 20th meeting. 

Receipts, deposits, and reimbursements: Korrin submitted her Bingo Night expenses. 

PayPal: We need to get Jen’s name off the account. Need to review where all old members are still moderators on facebook and if any password changes are needed? Discussed and will change email password at our fiscal year end. 

25 Books for Kinders Roundup: The school asked if the PAC could purchase the 25 books for the incoming kinders for the round up and needs a response by the end of the week. Realized this item would have been better in the general meeting. Called Jen Crosby on speaker and discussed the issue. Jen noted that last year we did this for the school using scholastic dollars. Basically we can only do this if it is with scholastic dollars and the only books available in the catalog covering the subject of starting kindergarten either are too expensive at $17 a book or are a set so the kids would not get the same book which is not what the school wants. Korrin looked online and noted that through Amazon the school could get books for as low as $4 and most of them for around $7 per book. The library does not have any available funds to purchase outside of scholastic dollars. Hadar will inform the office of our decision. 

Vote for $500 for Garden: This was moved to the general meeting held earlier at 6pm.
