About Sherwood Charter School Garden
We've built our very own school garden in the hopes of providing students with hands-on learning experiences in agriculture, nutrition, and environmental stewardship. The Garden is funded and managed by the PAC (parent advisory committee) - committed to fostering school community. We have a Garden Committee to oversee the garden, plan the area of the garden, establish a care schedule, planting, and maintenance. We are so excited to embark on this journey with the families and students of SCS.

Special Thank You To The Garden Committee:
School Garden Committee: Hadar Ferris (Garden Coordinator), Lori Gamroth (Master Gardener), Corey Peterson (Landscape Expert), Scott Swartout (Wood Working Expert). This team is more than what their title suggests. They have been the heart of bringing this garden to fruition.
We are a group of volunteers passionate about creating a special place for our students here at Sherwood Charter School.

Donations are Welcome
We welcome any donations for our school garden. Since this is a new venture, we need many supplies to get started. Please reach out if you would like to donate old, used or new items to the garden.

Items Needed:
Shovels, gloves, pruning shears, garden fork, hand trowel, spade, rake, hoe, watering can, wheel barrow, vegetable/flower/fruit seeds, outdoor plants, outdoor storage bin/shed, rain catcher/barrel, arbor, etc.

 Thank you for offering a large box full of growing trays and pots of all sizes. 

 Thank you for donating a wine barrel which we are able to use as a wonderful garden centerpiece. 

Thank you for the substantial discount on lumber and screws which were used to make our wonderfully sturdy garden beds.

Thank you for your large and very generous donation of soil for our six, newly built garden beds. 

Thank you for generously donating irrigation equipment, your time and energy and for setting up the drip system for our school garden.

Garden Build Day
