PAC General Meeting Minutes: 5.4.23

Board members in attendance: Tamara Protruch (chair), Kimberly Felton (secretary), Ashley Weston (co-secretary)

Parents in attendance: Hadar Ferris

Staff in attendance: none

Tamara called meeting to order at 6:34pm. 

Approval of minutes from 4/6/23: Quorum absent; will approve minutes in June.

STAFF UPDATES – no staff present

TREASURER REPORT -- none

OLD BUSINESS/UPDATES

Teacher appreciation week:  Went well.

DNO Papa Murphy’s: Earned $90. 

Volunteer appreciation: Honey theme. Bottles/spoons of honey given with cards.

NEW BUSINESS/ANNOUNCEMENTS

PAC goals for next year: winter event, spring event, end-of-year picnic; 8th grade graduation

Book fair BOGO May 15-18: Talked about having the book fair on a Friday, but this does not work as well with the BOGO. 

Last day of school picnic: Good mix of healthy/unhealthy snacks last year. Water & Caprison. No entertainment necessary. Book exchange. Bubble machine.

PAC closet: Need to clean out closet to make room for spirit wear & random supplies. Tamara will clean out.

DNO for May: Sherwood Panera Bread. May 18, 4-8pm.

2023-2024 PAC Board officers: No quorum, so cannot vote on new board members. Hadar Ferris interested in serving. Kimberly Felton willing to be secretary.

Question from parent: What are the thoughts about next year’s fundraisers? Answer: Cutting out See’s Candy fundraising in the spring. Bottle Drop is doing well.
